Aksara Bali: Balinese Keyboard is a keyboard extension for iOS that lets you type in the traditional Balinese script (Aksara Bali). We built this app with one guiding principle: your keystrokes and data stay with you.

This Privacy Policy explains how Aksara Bali handles information when you use the app. The short version: we don't collect, store, or share any of your data. Everything lives entirely on your device.

📋 Data We Collect

Aksara Bali is designed to operate without collecting any personal information. Here is a complete breakdown:

We do not use analytics SDKs, advertising networks, or any third-party services that might collect data about your usage or typing behavior.

⌨ Keyboard Extension Privacy

As a keyboard extension, we understand the sensitivity of typing data. Here is how we protect your privacy:

• The keyboard does not request "Allow Full Access" — it operates in the most restricted iOS sandbox mode.
• No network access — the keyboard cannot connect to the internet.
• No keystroke logging — we do not record, store, or transmit anything you type.
• No dictionary or learned words are sent anywhere — all processing is on-device.
• No clipboard access — the keyboard does not read or monitor your clipboard.

🔒 Data Sharing

We do not share any data with third parties. There are no exceptions. Specifically:

• We do not sell personal information — because we don't have any to sell.
• We do not share data with advertisers or marketing platforms.
• We do not use analytics services (no Firebase, no Mixpanel, no Amplitude).
• We do not integrate social media SDKs.
• We do not have a backend server that receives any app data.

If you contact us by email for support, we will use your email address only to respond to your inquiry. We will not add you to mailing lists or share your email with anyone.

⚖ Your Rights

Because Aksara Bali stores no data beyond your on-device preferences, you have complete control at all times.

• Access: There is no personal data to access — we hold none.
• Deletion: Delete the app to remove all local preferences permanently.
• Portability: No personal data exists to port.

For users in the European Economic Area (EEA), this design means your GDPR rights are inherently satisfied — no formal request to us is required because no personal data is processed.

For California residents: Aksara Bali does not sell personal information, so CCPA opt-out rights do not apply.

🛡 Security

The most secure data is data that isn't collected. Our privacy-first architecture means your information is protected by the same security built into your Apple device.

• Local preferences are protected by iOS data protection and device encryption.
• The keyboard extension runs in a restricted iOS sandbox with no network access.
• No passwords, accounts, or credentials are required to use Aksara Bali.
• No data traverses ARRcade servers, eliminating server-side breach risk entirely.

📣 Policy Changes

If we make material changes to this Privacy Policy, we will update the "Effective Date" at the top of this page and notify users through an app update notice in the App Store.

Given our architecture — no data collection, no servers, no accounts — there is very little about this policy that could meaningfully change. Any change that introduced data collection would require explicit opt-in from users.
